Theatric performances, shows on the public squares, painting and photo exhibitions, touring the parks and theoretical forums, these are some of the popular activities for the public in celebration of the 60 anniversary of the founding of the PRC and the traditional Mid-autumn Festival. These activities are hosted by the Propaganda Department of Ningbo Municipal Committee of CPC, Ningbo Wenming Office, Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, News and Press, and undertaken by Ningbo Mass Arts Center. These activities will last till the end of October.

　　Performances:

　　From September 24 to 26, a performance of selected programs from Zhejiang Towns and Villages Culture Program will be shown in Yinzhou Cultural Center and Zhongshan Square, and in those days, Zhejiang Folk and Folk Custom Handicrafts Exhibition will open in Ningbo Museum. On the Zhongshan Square on the evening of September 29, there will be a singing party participated by 18 teams from the government departments, retired cadres, communities and schools. On the afternoons from October 1 to 7, there will be wonderful shows by theatre troupes from Yinzhou District, Cixi City, Xiangshan County, Jiangbei District, Ninghai County, Zhenhai District and Shanghai City.

　　From September 1 to 28, to display the happy life of the people and the achievements made in the 60 years after the founding of the PRC, a net photo contest will open on the website of Ningbo Mass Arts http://www.nbqyg.com/.

　　Theatrical Forums

　　On September 19, Ningbo Mass Cultural Association will hold its annual meeting on the urban public cultural brands, which is to be attended by experts from the Ministry of Culture, the National Development and Reform Commission and universities in Shanghai.

　　On the evening of October 2, there will be an evening party for the Mid-autumn Festival at the Tianyi Pavilion Museum. On September 29, Ningbo Qunxing Chorus, Ningbo Philharmonic Chorus and Yunlong Middle School Chorus will attend the chorus contest in the first Zhejiang Cultural and Arts Festival.
