Chinese Mainland Confirms 60 New A/H1N1 Cases

The Chinese mainland confirmed 60 new cases of A/H1N1 flu from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday, bringing the total to 678, with no reports of deaths.

Thirty new cases were confirmed hydraulic valve in Guangdong Province, among which 22 were reported in schools in Foshan, Guangzhou and Dongguan cities. The students were in stable condition.

Ten new cases were reported in Sichuan balance valve Province, seven in Shanghai, six in Beijing, three in Zhejiang Province, two in Fujian Province. Tianjin City and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region each reported one new case.

According to local health authorities, Guangdong has reported 214 confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases, the most in the mainland.

Beijing has reported 112 cases. The city saw its first patient infected through local transmission Thursday.

Ninety-six cases were reported in Shanghai, 70 in Fujian, 47 in Sichuan, 27 in Zhejiang, 18 in Jiangsu, 16 in Hubei, 14 in Liaoning, 11 in Hunan, 10 in Tianjin, nine in Shandong, five each in Guizhou, Chongqing, Hebei and Guangxi, four each in Hainan, three in Anhui, two in Henan, and one each in Jilin, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Shaanxi.

Among the patients, 373 have been discharged from hospitals while 305 were still being treated.
